Fun in the Rain
It usually doesn't rain here for more than a few minutes and my girls wanted to play in it. So I rushed as fast as I could to get them outside because I knew they would be heart broken if they missed it. But to my surprise it pored down for almost an hour and rained off and on all night. The 3 little girls played in it for over 45 minutes. They ran around, jumped in the puddles and my favorite, laid down in the gutter as the water rushed by them. They kept jumping in front of the other to be the first one to be hit by the rushing water. Then #3 saw how much fun they were having and joined in but only lasted 5 mins or so, like me she doesn't like to be wet. #1 also came out to watch and decided to play. She's 13 and going up fast so it was fun to watch her running through the rain in all her innocence and play with the little girls. Kids grow up so fast so it was nice to see her play, have fun and be a kid. I loved watching them play and have so much fun splashing around not to mention there was not a single argument. When I came in the house #2 and 3 couldn't believe I stayed out so long because I was getting wet (I was under the patio but with the wind it was still getting me). I could have sat there for hrs watching them because they were having such a good time together but it was time for dinner. We were all hungry not to mention daddy made stakes for us as an early birthday dinner for me. I think it was the most fun they have had together the entire summer. It was one of those moments when you can sit back, look at the situation and know that this is what a family is all about. It was one small moment in time when all was well with the world and I was madly in love with my family.
